Welcome to ThayerConnect

The Academy…online.

In keeping with Governor Baker’s guidelines regarding both public and private schools during this coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Thayer Academy has closed its campus for the remainder of the school year. However, ThayerConnect, the Academy’s Distance Learning Program, began classes on Wednesday, April 1, for both Middle School and Upper School students.

Our goal is simple yet essential: deliver a meaningful educational experience to students during this temporary campus closure. To do this, faculty and students will follow a familiar but abbreviated schedule using the Academy’s online resources. This page is intended to provide information and useful links (FAQs, schedules, tech support), but please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have further questions.

While no online system can fully replicate the positive interactions found on a real campus, Thayer is committed to maintaining strong connections between faculty and students and nurturing our already strong and supportive school community.

The success of ThayerConnect is dependent upon an “all-in” collaboration among students, faculty, staff, administrators, and parents and guardians. The Academy hopes to welcome you back to campus as soon as possible, but we will get through these uncertain times together.

Keep current on COVID-19

Thayer Academy has created a dedicated webpage to keep families informed during these uncertain times caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19). The page includes useful health links (CDC, MDPH, US State Department) as well as tips on how to deal with stress or talk to your children about the issue. Specific to Thayer, the page serves as a clearinghouse for all Academy updates addressing the situation. Here’s wishing everyone health and safety.
