Day 1
  • Flights to Nice
  • Meet and greet with host families at Lycée Stanislas, Cannes
Days 2-4
  • Week-end en famille: typically, your host will organize family/group excursions

Day 5
  • Visit Cannes market
  • Bus-trip to Grasse, capital of French perfumery
  • Tour of the Fragonard museum and enterprise
  • Lunch in the village square
  • Bus back to Cannes
Day 4
  • Train to Nice
  • Visit the market (Cours Saleya) and Vieux Nice
  • Take a short hike up to the Parc de la Colline du Château
  • Picnic lunch at the park with a panoramic view of Nice
  • Promenade des Anglais
  • Shopping/free time in Nice
  • Return by train to Cannes

Day 5
  • Morning cruise to Saint Honorat, one of the Iles de Lérins
  • Picnic lunch on the island
  • Visit the monastery
  • Afternoon with correspondents (early release)
Day 6
  • Go to a class or two with correspondents
  • Train to La Napoule
  • Visit Château de La Napoule and gardens
  • Lunch in La Napoule
  • Swim at beach
  • Return by train to Cannes
Day 7
  • Morning rendez-vous at Gare SNCF, Cannes
  • TGV to Paris
  • Transfer to Hotel
PARISOur stay in Paris is busy, lots of walking, metro-rides, and excursions. Breakfast served daily in the hotel dining room or terrace. The day divides into two blocks: 9am-3pm (incl. lunch) and 6pm-midnight (incl. dinner), the break for rest, nap or free-time shopping. Itinerary is subject to moving around and change (per the weather or as opportunities present).

  • Métro to hotel : check-in, freshen-up. Orientation.

Day 8

  • Lunch at Le Parvis
  • Browse books at Shakespeare and Co.
  • Visit Notre Dame
  • Fat Bike Tour (3h30 duration / 6.5 miles). Highlights include: the Louvre, Champs de Mars, Les Invalides, Place de al Concorde, the Tuileries
  • Montmartre
  • Dinner at Place du Tertre
  • Moulin Rouge
  • Sacré Coeur
Day 9
  • RER to Versailles
  • Le marché de Versailles (one of the world's best open-air markets) to buy provisions for lunch
  • Ride through the gardens, picnic in and view the palace and gardens of Versailles
  • Le Calife Dinner-Boat tour on the Seine
Day 10
  • Louvre visit
  • The Eiffel Tower
  • Walking tour of Paris Rive Droite
  • Saint-Eustache
  • Les Halles
  • Beaubourg
  • Le Marais
  • Dinner at either L’Entrecôte (famous for their steak frites) rue Saint-Benoît or Chez Janou in Le Marais.

Day 11
  • Transfer to CDG Airport
  • Flights to Boston
