About the event

Journey with us to the stars as Dr. Sarah Stewart Johnson discusses her book, The Sirens of Mars, which interweaves a telling of the history of Martian exploration with her own journey as a planetary scientist. Dr. Joshua Bennett will also perform new poetry honoring Dr. Mae Jamison, a former NASA astronaut and the first Black woman to travel in space.

Then take a tour of the night sky in the portable planetarium, and get a chance to win stunning astrophotography by Upper School Science Faculty Jamison Smith.
