What were your favorite classes at Thayer?

Global Scholars and Voice. I’ve gone on several trips with Thayer since I started here in the 6th grade, and the Global Scholars seminar really gave me insight into my travel experience. For my capstone project I’m raising money for a school I helped build in Nicaragua through Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder. It’s nice to bring it all together.

What are your plans next year?

I’m going to University College Dublin. I plan to study law and social justice.

How did Thayer help shape these plans?

I give all the credit to Thayer for providing me with an understanding of global citizenship and the importance of giving back to the world. I’ve been here since the 6th grade so Thayer has definitely shaped me into the person I am today.

How did College Counseling help you this year?

My college counselor was fantastic because I'm a very indecisive person. She did a good job of making me feel comfortable throughout the whole thing, even when I was going crazy.

What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think of Thayer?

Home. I know a lot of other students feel the same way. I love being at Thayer. During the year I would get here at 7:30 in the morning, and then there would be some nights in the fall when I was in the musical and I'd be here until 8:00 at night. I never really wanted to leave.

What will you miss most when you do leave?

I'm going to miss the teachers because I have very strong relationships with a few teachers. Everyone always says how good the teachers are, but I can't emphasize enough how good the teachers really are. They genuinely know you and care about you.

What’s your favorite memory from Thayer?

Probably being in Les Miserables this fall because it was so fun. It was probably the most fun I have ever had. By the time the tenth week rolled around, the cast and crew were like a giant family.

What’s an interesting fact about you that people may be surprised to hear?

I’ve never missed a day of school in my life, from kindergarten to 12th grade.
