What were your favorite classes at Thayer?

Definitely chemistry and calculus with Ms. McGurn and Mr. Cedrone. They’re just awesome teachers. They really get you to want to learn the information, and they got me excited for their classes.

What are your plans next year?

I’m going to Bowdoin and will study pre-med. I’ll probably major in biology or math.

How was Thayer shaped you?

Thayer taught me to advocate for myself. For me to do better I would have to see teachers and get extra help—everything’s not just given to me. It taught me to be more independent and get done what I need to get done.

When you think of Thayer, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Community. Everyone’s very supportive and wants you to do your best.

What was your most challenging class?

AP Latin. It was so much information. I had to start studying days before a test. It took a lot of effort, and I’m glad I took it. I learned what to do in a challenging situation.

If you could give advice to incoming freshmen, what would it be?

Step out of your comfort zone, and try new things. But don’t overwhelm yourself by doing everything. Start with one or two clubs or activities.

What’s your favorite memory as you leave Thayer?

We won the New England championship in cross-country for the first time my sophomore year. That was a great experience to share with my teammates.

What’s something interesting about you that someone may be surprised to hear?

I have four brothers, ages 3, 5, 18 and 21.
