The great sense of community truly makes Thayer unique and is one of the many reasons why it stands out from any other school. Whether it's a peer, classmate, teacher, coach, or mentor, Thayer has built a community in which you can feel comfortable to be yourself around anyone in such a beautiful manner. It’s a community of support and togetherness, and it’s one that continues to positively grow.

I’ll attend the College of the Holy Cross where I intend to major in biology.

Senior Seminar with Ms. King by far challenged me the most. I was pushed to make my writing better and to never settle for average. Instead, I seek to improve and grow from both positive and negative feedback.

Most people don’t know that I used to play the piano and sing in my elementary school chorus.

Thayer has encouraged me to always get involved and to be present. I've been inspired to join clubs, groups, and teams as well as meet new people, make new friends, and branch out from the tried and true. Reaching out has presented me with so many opportunities, and I’ve shared so many experiences that have all prepared me for future success.

Every single one of The Hunger Games series, but specifically I'd have to say The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is my favorite of them all.

Every single one of my teachers at Thayer is always willing to go “that extra mile” when it comes to my studies. They’re always checking in and making themselves available for me and other students when extra help is needed, and they’re extremely flexible with their schedules for the benefit of all the students.

Both my mom and my dad have always inspired me. They both sacrificed so much for me and my siblings. They always strive to provide us with the absolute best we can possibly receive, and they are both always willing to do whatever it takes just to make us happy. Both of them are so supportive in unexplainable ways and never fail to make any one of us laugh or smile.

My favorite memory from my time at Thayer was my senior year when we played Worcester Academy in the NEPSAC Class A Semifinal soccer game. We were lucky enough to have a home game on our field and the turnout was amazing. So many of our friends, classmates, peers, teachers, and families showed up to support us. It was such a competitive game, and we ended up winning 1-0 with just minutes left. Everyone was screaming and cheering, full of so much joy. That one specific game portrayed Thayer’s tight-knit and supportive community best; it’s a moment I'll forever cherish.

My walk-up song would have to be “Going Bad” by Meek Mill and Drake because it’s the one song I’ve consistently listened to before every single soccer game since 7th grade.

My friends, classmates, teachers, college counselors, and coaches have all supported me in reaching my goals by actively being present in my life. They always knew and understood where I was at and what was going on, and they never failed to show up for me in a positive manner when I needed a little extra encouragement and support.

My favorite Thayer tradition is definitely Winter Wars. It always captures how close our community really is and the great school spirit we have. Although there's no doubt Thayer’s a school with rigorous academics and competitive athletics, we can also add so much fun into the mix.
