Thayer is unique because of its location and the opportunities it offers. Thayer has one of the best locations in Massachusetts for a private school. It’s very close to many urban and suburban communities. Thayer also offers incredible athletic and academic opportunities.

I will attend the University of Pittsburgh on an athletic scholarship.

PreCalc was challenging, but it eventually became easier the more time I spent studying and with the extra help I received from the Hale Learning Center.

I enjoy writing poems, giving back to my community, and listening to music in my free time.

Thayer has prepared me academically for college and provided me a platform to display my athletic skills. On top of that, I’ve made some lifelong connections here at Thayer!

College Counseling and Mr. Robey helped me with anything and everything I needed during my recruitment process.

John Hightower (Thayer Class of 1995) and Mr. (Robin) Dixon (Thayer Class of 1979, current History faculty) inspire me. I met John Hightower through basketball, and I met Mr. Dixon through the Project RISE program when it was at Thayer. They are a big part of me and have helped me become the person I am today. I relate so much to their mentorship because they both attended Thayer and both come from similar backgrounds to mine. John Hightower and Mr. Dixon inspire me because they are great role models who have given back to their communities in many ways. They both also introduced Thayer Academy to me, and without them, I would’ve never gotten the opportunity to attend Thayer.

Mr. Dixon always went the extra mile for me. He looked out for me and was always available to assist me academically during free periods and after school.

I loved most of the meals. They were all good!

I don’t have one specific favorite memory but many — from playing at Gillette Stadium as a ninth grader to just hanging out in Sawyer during free periods with Jarvis, Samson, Marvin, Myles, etc.
