Definitely the people! I feel like the teachers really care for the students here. We feel like a community. 

I will attend Dartmouth College and am undecided on my major. I might study history, but we’ll see where life takes me.

Spanish IV Honors with Sra. Blanco was probably my most challenging class. I had taken her Spanish II Honors class during my freshman year, which was also difficult, but the difficulty definitely ramped up by the time I reached junior year. Even though it was hard, it was definitely worth it because it prepared me super well for AP Spanish.

I live in a funeral home, but most people probably already know that.

Thayer classes really prepare you for college courses because they give you the skills you need. 

This answer is a little cliché, but my mother inspires me. She is an ESL teacher and really inspires me in her profession. She really goes above and beyond to help students and families. 

I pretty much knew I wanted to apply Early Decision to Dartmouth, so that decision was more my own. My college counselor, Ms. Brennan Hall, helped me greatly when it came to finding a wide range of liberal arts schools I could apply to. 

I could eat the shepherd's pie every day, all day. 

Be grateful for the education that you get. You don’t really realize how valuable it is until it’s taken away. I didn’t realize how much of an impact just the simple act of going to school had on my mental health.

Probably Winter Wars, which is like our Spirit Week. It’s such a fun week where all the classes compete in mini-challenges and dress up for spirit points!

One anecdote really sums it all up: my class went around hiding “Thompson cards” for our senior prank. They were business cards with Mr. Thompson’s face printed on them; we hid them all around the Thayer campus (I hid some in some pretty obscure places, and I bet you can still find some!) I think that really describes how the whole class can come together.
