There is a $250 deposit per participant which you will pay once your child is accepted into the program. The deposit will be applied to your balance.
There are 3 options for tuition payment:
Payment made in full
4 installments of payments
8 installments of payments
Any registration received after June 15, 2020 must be paid in full. To set up a payment plan, please contact Yvette Jones-Bishop at firstname.lastname@example.org to identify which plan you would like to establish.
Once your registration has been processed, any reduction or cancellation of enrollment will cause the deposit to be forfeited. After June 8, 2020, no part of the tuition will be canceled or refunded in the event of any absence, withdrawal, or dismissal from the program.
However, you may sign up for our Tuition Refund Plan (TRP), at a cost of $10 per camper per week equally $70. The plan pays part of the unused tuition for the number of consecutive days missed, if that number is greater than four. Tuition will be reimbursed as follows:
Medical absence or withdrawal (requires a physician’s note): 75%
Non-medical (voluntary) withdrawal: 60%
To request a refund from the plan, you must apply in writing to the Project RISE, indicating the days missed and the reason for your child’s absence.
Please complete and mail the financial aid form by May 1, 2020. A copy of your 2019 federal income tax return (1040), including all supporting schedules and W-2 forms, must be submitted with your application.
If you are awarded financial aid, it will be applied to your final bill after we have received your deposit.
Financial Aid Policies
Thayer Academy awards financial aid on the basis of need as funds are available. At this time, we cannot guarantee financial aid for all who apply and are eligible. Awards are contingent upon the thorough and prompt completion of the financial aid application. Please note that failure to submit your documents before the deadline can jeopardize a student’s potential to receive financial aid. To ensure equitable distribution of funds, all applicants must fill out the application completely and provide copies of the required supporting documents. Feel free to provide supplemental information for any sections that require special explanations.
