Annual Toy Drive for Head Start: The Middle School is once again doing a toy drive for Head Start in Braintree/Quincy. We are looking to match our goal of last year and get toys for 200 local boys and girls. Students can pick up an index card with the name and age of their recipient from Mr. Reid or Mr. Wyche. This year, Head Start has asked us to leave the presents unwrapped. If you would like to have a card or two, please email Mr. Reid at and he would be happy to send you the info. A great way to get into the holiday spirit! Thanks in advance.

The TAMS Science Cafe is a program that brings in female scientists to talk with any interested Middle School students during a "lunch bunch". These will take place during lunch on the scheduled days; students would eat their lunch either in the Tiger's Den or PA Conference room while the scientist gives their presentation. The hope is to celebrate female scientists while introducing students to various STEM careers. Students will be able to sign up on a sheet on Ms. Young's classroom door (room 205) starting a week before the scheduled meeting time. Click here for the schedule for December.

We are excited to introduce the PAC!   The Thayer Parent Athletic Council (PAC) is a newly created group of Thayer parents whose mission is to improve the overall sports experience for our children. This simple mission involves the pursuit of two objectives: improve two-way communication between the school and parents regarding sports activities and foster a culture of team spirit that mirrors the school’s already-strong sense of community. This mission is accomplished by the volunteer efforts of our Thayer parents working as a team with both administrators and students.

We would like to direct you to our new FAQ section under Athletics in the Parents section of the website for any sports-related questions. Please reach out to us at for any additional questions or concerns.  We look forward to working with you.
