Nov. 13-Dec 14, The John Judge exhibit is open at the Thayer Gallery.

Nov. 13-21, Thayer will be participating in the Coats for Kids coat drive through Anton's Cleaners who will clean and distribute the coats to local nonprofits. There will be bins placed in Cahall, Main Building, Glover, and the Middle School entrance. Any gently used coats for children and adults are greatly appreciated! Nov. 19, deadline to order sports gear. Parents of Winter Athletes: Sport Specific Team Gear Stores, If you want to order team specific gear please go to the Team Specific Store links located on your athlete's Varsity & JV Team Page of The first round of store orders need to be made by Nov. 19th in order for the gear to be delivered to the Campus Store prior to winter break. We will reopen the stores from Nov. 26th- Dec. 10th, but those orders will not be ready for pick up until after winter break. Questions? Email Rick Foresteire.

Nov. 27, Registration deadline, Test on Dec. 30-Free Practice ACT for sophomores and juniors. Thayer is offering a chance for students to become familiar with the ACT with a full practice exam offered on Sunday, December 3 at 9am at Thayer. The registration deadline is November 27th. Nov. 27 deadline for seniors to select their photo for the yearbook. Parents of class of 2018. If your child's portrait has not been selected for the yearbook, Ms. Blanco and the yearbook staff will select the photo on 11/27 in order to meet our deadline. If they haven't, please have your child log in to the Smile Pro website with the log in information they were given, select the photo, and checkout. If they don't checkout, the photo isn't selected. Dec. 1 is the deadline for Applications and Financial Aid Requests for the Summer Trip to Spain and all Sr. Project Trips. Parents can view the application here. The Spanish trip will cost approximately $4,000. Two-week extended language classes are not yet confirmed and would be at additional cost. Financial Aid requests should be sent by email to Mr. Koskores. Students should explain in a brief paragraph why they want to go on this trip. Nov. 21, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, 9-11am. Our 6th grade students will host their visitors and show them their school. If you haven't sent in your RSVP, please contact Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Bosworth in the Middle School office. This is one of the most enjoyable days of the year, and we look forward to meeting all of our guests.

Dec. 1, Sign up deadline for talent show. The 19th annual TAMS Talent Show will be December 15th at 1PM. Students wanting to share their talents should sign up with Mr. Gibson by 2:15PM on Friday December 1st. Singing, Dancing, Karate, Instruments, Solo or Groups. We are looking for all kinds of acts. The 7th grade recently volunteered for several organizations, including Community Servings which makes meals from scratch for patients who are too sick to cook for them selves. One of the ways they raise funds is through a program that runs until this Saturday called Pie in the Sky. To order a pie and support this amazing program, click here.

AUCTION 2018 - VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Shannon Cashman P '19, '21 and Krista DiRico P '18, '18, '23 are excited to chair Thayer Auction 2018 on Friday, March 2nd at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy. The Auction is Thayer's premier fundraising and social event of the year. Shannon and Krista are actively looking for volunteers to help with his wonderful school event. Committee meetings will begin in early January and involvement is needed from Thayer's Middle School and Upper School families. Please email or if you would like to help out with the Auction. We are also in need of donations for the Auction beginning in early January. We welcome tickets to sporting events, gift certificates, artwork, vacation homes, boating adventures, and whatever your creative minds come up with! This special night includes an elegant dinner and a silent and live auction for all our guests to delight in. Please mark your calendars for March 2 and join our entire community as we come together in support of Thayer's Faculty Excellence Fund, which supports professional development opportunities for all of Thayer's faculty, allowing them to continue to learn, and in turn, to inspire every Thayer student.
