USA Swimming names Knightly to Scholastic All-America Team

Thayer Academy's Tyler Knightly '20 was recently named to the 2018-2019 Scholastic All-America Team by USA Swimming. 

To be eligible for the honor, Knightly had to make the Junior National cut, which he did, and earn a GPA of 3.5 or better. 

A Dedham resident, Knightly holds Thayer records in both the 100 and 200 Freestyle. In both 2018 and 2019, Knightly received the Babcock Award for outstanding performance, leadership, and sportsmanship. This award is voted upon by coaches and given to the outstanding athlete of the New England Championships. 

Knightly is one of this year's swim captains along with Cameron Walker '20, Matt Scapicchio '20, and Angie Lonigro '21.
