Thayer track athletes compete at Nationals

Thayer track athletes had a successful trip to the New Balance Track & Field National meet in Greensboro, North Carolina earlier this month.

Owen Drometer '19 and Tommy Gaffey '20 both ran well in the 1500m. "The boys both competed very well in tremendous heat and humidity and ran very respectable times close to their personal bests," said Head Coach Jeff Browne. "This was quite an honor for Owen, Tommy, and Thayer to have them compete on the national stage."

The girls 4x400m relay team of Ally Deegan '20, Annie Huycke '18, Katherine Stanwood '18 and Cassie Kearney '18, broke the school record by running 3:59.97. "This is the first Thayer girls relay team to ever break 4 minutes. Breaking 4 minutes is a great milestone for high school relay teams!" said Coach Browne.
