Student photo chosen for juried art show

The photography of Michael Nessralla '20 was recently selected as part of the Emerging Young Artists 2019 Juried Exhibition at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Nessralla's photo was one of 80 works selected from a total of 350 submissions. Laura Franz, interim dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the university, served as juror.
"Michael is an exceptional photo student who continually pushes himself to improve," said Upper School Arts Faculty Nicki Pardo, his photography teacher. "I am so proud of his accomplishment of being recognized as a young, emerging artist in Massachusetts."
The exhibition will run from Jan. 22 until Feb. 9 at the university's campus gallery, which is located at 285 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth. On Feb. 9, an awards ceremony will take place to announce Dean's Award First Place, Dean's Award Second Place, Dean's Award Third Place, and Honorable Mention winners.
