Members of Thayer Academy's Model United Nations club (MUNTA) gathered late into the evening Oct. 26 for their fall, in-house Model UN Conference.

Veteran Model UN'ers and Head Delegates Jackson Humphreys '20, Bayden Ibrahim '19, and Alan Xu '20 chaired a lively committee session of the General Assembly's Special Political Committee to wrestle with the topic of "The Denuclearization of Iran."

Over 50 student-delegates are actively enlisted in this year's Model UN activities, preparing for a series of conferences: Princeton (November), Boston University (February), and Concord Academy (March).

The Oct. 26 "mock" model UN conference proved an effective taste of Model UN dynamics, and the topic lived up to the hunch it would generate heated, vigorous debate.
