Cassie Kearney '18 Named NEPSAC Athlete of the Year

Track & field and cross-country star runner Cassie Kearney '18 was recently named NEPSAC Athlete of the Year by the Boston Globe. She will receive her award at a luncheon held at the Boston Globe offices later this month. 

This past cross country season Cassie won the girls New England championship race, leading the team to its 4th straight Championship. She also won the ISL meet for the third time. She is a 3-time Boston Globe All Scholastic and has been the ISL cross-country MVP for 3 years.

In track & field this spring, Cassie led the team to win the Div II New England Prep School Championships. At that meet she won the 1500m and 800m races, breaking the New England Meet records in both events. Cassie was voted meet MVP by the coaches. She will be attending and running for Middlebury College in the fall.
