‘Windchill Factor’ Reception Sees Large Turnout at Koskores Gallery

The in-school reception for “Windchill Factor” — the art exhibit currently on display at Koskores Gallery — was held today (April 7) and attended by students, faculty, staff, and several of the artists themselves.

Koskores Gallery Director Brynn Wartman P ’30, ’32 thanked guests for stopping by the well-attended reception and offered a brief overview of the pieces on display, all of which are works by artists in the Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Women Artists. The multimedia exhibition consists of drawings, paintings, sculptures, and installations that address women’s unique experiences and perspectives as well as the obstacles they’ve had to overcome throughout history.

In addition to the in-school reception, there will be a public reception Saturday, April 11; at that event, there will be an all-levels yoga experience from 3 to 3:45 p.m. with the actual reception following from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. The exhibit itself continues until April 17. Koskores Gallery is located on the lower level of Southworth Library.
