Visual Arts Students Display Their Talents at Convergence Arts Show 2026

Thayer students represented their school incredibly well during Convergence Arts Show 2026, a recent juried art show featuring student artwork from Thayer Academy, Braintree High School, South Shore Christian Academy, and host CATS Academy Boston. 

Earning awards at the April 9 showcase were: 

— Compton Jones ’27, first place in painting & drawing 

— Tess Harper ’26, honorable mention in photography

— Eliana Soares ’26, honorable mention in painting & drawing 

In addition to Jones, Harper, and Soares, Thayer students whose work appeared in the regional art show included: 

Painting & Drawing: Daniel King ’27, Ella Wenger ’27, Avery Catalano ’27, Lexi Maraganore ’26, and Paige Johnson ’26. 

Photography: Matt Fortunato ’26, Jake Ryan ’28, Samaria Theodore ’26, Nigel Wilson ’28, Samuel Fallon-Bacardi ’26, Charlotte Chisholm ’26, and Mason Barreto ’26. 

Upper School Visual Arts Department Head Anni Zukauskas ’94 P ’28, ’29, Koskores Gallery Director Brynn Wartman P ’30, ’32, and Upper School Visual Arts Faculty Nicki Pardo expressed pride in students’ creativity and dedication and thanked them for their efforts. 

“It was a strong exhibition overall and a fantastic showing for Thayer’s visual artists,” said Zukauskas.
