Recalling fun fall productions at Middle School
Even as the Middle School gears up for its spring production of Showstoppers, it’s worth remembering two excellent productions from this past fall.
Just before Thanksgiving Recess, 5th graders from the classes of Ms. Gordon '13 and Mrs. Swanberg took to the stage of Thompson Hall to perform Final Dress Rehearsal, a short comedic play by Jack Frakes where an amateur theatrical group’s final dress rehearsal of Cinderella ends in disaster.
Sixth grade students were also hard at work then as they performed Greek mythology plays before parents and guardians as well as the entire Middle School community. As is tradition, the students applied their knowledge of Greek mythology to design personalized masks to use in their performances.
Both productions were directed by Middle School Theater Director Tara Corcoran '88 P ‘19.
