National Signing Day: Two senior football players make their choices known
Brady Hall '25 and his family
Thayer Academy celebrated the college football commitments of two of its seniors Feb. 5 as part of National Signing Day events across the nation.
The event was held after classes that Wednesday as the families, friends, teammates, and coaches of Brady Hall ‘25 and Angel Perez-Gonzalez ‘25 gathered in Memorial Gym to congratulate the two student-athletes on their hard work and wish them nothing but luck in college next fall.
A Plymouth native, Hall has committed to attend and play football for Assumption University. A linebacker and wide receiver, he served as a captain for Thayer’s football team this past fall.
Perez-Gonzalez, who hails from Brockton, plays wide receiver and defensive back. He will attend and play football for American International College. Like Hall, Perez-Gonzalez captained the Tigers this past fall.

Athletic Director Bobbi Moran welcomed the crowd to the midweek event and congratulated Hall and Perez-Gonzalez on their accomplishments.
“This is an amazing day,” said Moran, who noted that both Hall and Perez-Gonzalez are outstanding representatives of Thayer not only on the gridiron but also in the community.
The ceremony included the actual signings of the student-athletes and then transitioned to photos of the seniors clad in appropriate collegiate swag and surrounded by family members as well as teammates, friends, and coaches. The atmosphere was informal and fun, and the biggest hiccup of the afternoon was Moran’s need to remind friends and family to “scooch in” to the photos because so many people were there to support Hall and Perez-Gonzalez.
