Dance concert takes center stage at Hale Theater

The TA Dance Company delighted Hale Theater audience members at its March 8 concert with a variety of excellent performances and welcomed both Middle School dancers and an artist’s showcase to the memorable evening. 

Company members performed more than a dozen pieces that night. Some dancers choreographed their own performances while others were choreographed by fellow students or faculty members. There was even one piece choreographed by alum Demi Kroumpouzos ‘21. Dancers performed to a range of music including the songs of Doja Cat, Phoebe Bridgers, Ariana Grande, and Billy Joel. 

 

This year’s dance concert included a performance by the TA Middle School Dancers, who danced to Brian Crain’s “Butterfly Waltz” as choreographed by Middle School World Languages Faculty Javonna Corbin. The night also included an artist’s showcase featuring the work of Alenka Cetkovic ‘23. 

Upper School Performing Arts Faculty John Crampton is the director of the TA Dance Company. Student directors are Amanda Fogel ‘23 and Riley Joyce ‘23. Dance company members include: Julia Fiorello ‘24, Cailyn Hsu ‘26, Mary Keleher ‘26, Ceili Kornhaber ‘26, Claire LaMattina ‘24, Ellie Louvar ‘25, Gabby Monteiro ‘26, Charlotte Richter ‘26, and Virginia Thompson ‘23. 

Thayer Academy Middle School Dancers include: Atlas Card ‘29, Annabelle Chen ‘30, Vanessa Horne ‘29, Ella McDonnell ‘29, Caroline McKinney ‘30, Anne Suwastawan ‘29, and Olivia Talabi-Oates ‘29.
