Welcome to ThayerConnect Athletics, the Academy’s online landing page for sports information during this time of distance learning. Here, Thayer student-athletes and their families can find timely updates on the status of this season as well as sports-specific updates via dedicated team pages.
This page will offer news and notes, featured fall and winter games of the week, senior spring athlete tributes, a weekly challenge, alumni videos, and the Athletics Department’s Twitter. Links provide access to workout videos, nutrition videos, sports-specific videos, and virtual yoga. There are also motivational videos — to keep Tigers roaring when a positive attitude is essential — and a sports medicine section where students and parents can ask questions about sports-related injuries and rehab.
Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. Stay safe, stay connected, and go Tigers!
General Athletics Updates
On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, Governor Charlie Baker announced that all Massachusetts schools will be closed through the end of the school year. With this announcement, it is official that the spring athletic season has been canceled. To those spring athletes who lost their season, especially the seniors, we are very sorry. We appreciate all of the work and time that you put into preparing for the season. We wish you the best of luck in the coming weeks as we close out the school year. Continue to stay active and social distance yourself in order to expedite our return to normalcy. If you have any general questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to anyone in the athletics department. We are in this together!
