What is Triviopera? Good question. The game is part trivia, part karaoke. Instead of saying or writing responses, players must sing all answers. If that isn't fun enough, try Backwards trivia, where you have to guess the question to the answer. Maybe TV Trivia is more up your alley; Cinema Trivia, or maybe Music Trivia... you get the idea. This activity is full of questions and only one right answer!

Students learn about famous artists and create their own art inspired by them.

Get to know our feathered neighbors at TAMS.   Join us for bird watching, learning about birds, playing bird games, and building and installing birdhouses and feeders that we care for and educate others about.

Students enjoy their afternoons by playing Cornhole, KanJam, Spikeball, and other great games. No experience or skills required!

Students play different board and card games throughout the term. Games include: Life, Sorry, Scrabble, Rat a Tat Cat, Taco Goat Cheese Pizza, Farkle, and many more!

Do you want to help create and organize the TAMS 2023 Evergreen (Yearbook)? Students will get to digitally create the yearbook ,which includes working on book design and layout as well as taking pictures. 7th and 8th graders preferred.

Generation Citizen is an Action Civics activity for motivated students who want to make a difference in their communities. The group selects a local issue that affects people in the area, researches the issue as a group, makes a plan on how they can fix or attempt to solve the issue, and then takes action with that plan. Issues chosen in the past have included: drunk driving, the opioid crisis, texting and driving, and teaching financial literacy in all high schools across Massachusetts.

Hockey, like most things, is much more complex than it appears—which is often random and chaotic—and students in this activity will get to dig into that complexity. We'll discuss and watch games as well as break down systems. We'll debate and look at underlying advanced statistics (lots of math and charts!), all in hopes that students will have new ways to appreciate and enjoy the sport.

Just Dance on Broadway is a dance game that puts you center stage performing some of the biggest Broadway hits right at school. Dance, sing, and act to hit songs from your favorite musical performances like 'You Can't Stop the Beat', 'Fame', and 'Get Your Head in the Game' -- just to name a few. Get your jazz hands ready for Just Dance on Broadway!

Sing your heart out before you head to sports or your next destination. We don't care how you sound; we just want to let off some steam!

Do you like pointy sticks? Jabbing things?* Then knit & crochet is for you! Learn the basics of knitting and crocheting such as casting on and off, the knit stitch, and single crochet. Collectively, students make a blanket to be donated at the end of the activity.

*Poking and/or jabbing of people is strictly forbidden.

Students explore all types of instruments and styles of music from around the globe and develop the art of listening. They will have the opportunity to share their favorite or least favorite sounds and songs with the group. The focus will be curiosity as they analyze and discuss the musical elements and structures, as well as the social and emotional impacts of what we hear in an attempt to further understand ourselves, music, and culture.

Relive ye olden days of video games by playing party games inspired by the text-adventures of the 1980s. Give commands like GO NORTH, LIGHT LAMP, and GET SWORD while trying to accomplish such achievements as becoming the ruler of Action Castle, escaping Spooky Manor, and turning in your English paper.

The Positiviteam promotes positivity, kindness, and compassion through random acts of kindness and community engagement within our school community and wider. Let's spread the good vibes together!

In this activity, students listen to hip-hop music and think about the lyrics expressed therein; they consider how the poetry of the rhymes melds with the rhythm of the beat, how to interpret the lyrics in a critical way, and how to appreciate the art forms of rapping, DJing, breaking and grafitti (the four pillars of the African-American culture of hip-hop). Students also have some opportunity to express themselves and learn more about their individual identities through these means.

This student-led activity is for students who are interested in writing stories and poems. Students explore different types of poetry and practice writing their own poems and stories. To share the love of writing, students play literary games and meet with the Upper School Creative Writing Club, led by Virginia Thompson and Kylie Bogar. Students also get the opportunity to visit with Karen Jersild, head of the Benelli Writing Center, and one of the Benelli Writing Center Fellows. Everyone is welcome to join! 

Students explore sustainable practices within our new space. The club also explores hydroponics and is responsible for recycling within the Middle School.

Love graphic novels? This is the activity for you! Students explore visual and written storytelling. The graphic novel format is a unique way that readers can dive into a story.  

TATV is a student-lead community media project. In this activity, students create and produce video sketches that will be broadcast school-wide. Students in this activity will write, film, edit, and act all while learning the skills of production.

In your free time do you: doodle and draw, read and write creative stories, OR color-code and make amazing calendars? Join the Literary Magazine! We are seeking literary editors, art/design editors, and business editors to help us showcase student work by designing and publishing our own magazine.

Students learn how to properly throw the frisbee along with some warmups before learning the rules of the game, then end each day of activity by playing a game. 

Sign up for the most popular backyard game of all time. Teams will be picked at the beginning of each activity period and play for about three innings. This coed game will be fun for everyone, even if you have no experience.
