Coach Info

  • Emma Taylor
    Director of Rowing Programs
  • Carter Harrison
    Assistant Coach
Mr. Harrison began his school career in 1981 as an English and history intern at Noble and Greenough but feels that in important ways his career's foundation is his experience as a counselor (and eventually director) of an overnight camp during his high school, college, and early teaching-career summers. He has also taught at St. Sebastian's, Dedham Country Day (where he also became the Admissions Director), and the Meadowbrook School (where he was the founding Director of the Middle School). While almost always an English teacher, he has also taught history, science, and math. As he gained school experience, administrative roles tried to pull him from the classroom, but he has never left it and plans to leave it only for retirement. He has coached many sports out of desire to help young people develop, but the sport he knows best is rowing, and he credits crew for strongly influencing his character and teaching him many lessons. His interests include hands-on projects, outdoor activities, boats, birds, gardens, history, art, music, and fly fishing. He has three grown-and-flown children of whom he is extremely proud. One of them recently helped make him a grandparent. He learned relatively late in life to play golf so that he could spend more time with his golfer wife and fellow English teacher, Ms Reuter, who usually wins.
