Team Details

Lacrosse - MS A Girls

Middle School teams are more developmental in nature and playing on a team offers not only a chance to enjoy the sport, but also a valuable participatory experience for each athlete. This applies to all team members from standouts to substitutes who play a supporting role. In keeping with the Thayer philosophy that athletics are an integral part of a student’s curriculum, students should plan their participation with the help of their advisors – this discussion will help everyone gain a better understanding of each child’s overall school program. All Middle School participants are expected to receive fairly equal playing time over the course of the entire season. All team information is available via

  • Amy Hawkins
  • Jessica Leaver
Jess joined the admissions team in 2008 as an associate director. Before working in the admissions office she worked for two years in Thayer’s alumni & development office. Jess is a class of 2000 alum, having attended both the Middle and Upper Schools. She continued her education at Fairfield University, where she received a B.A. in communications with a minor in English and journalism. Jess played varsity lacrosse for the Fairfield Stags and was the captain in her senior year. She has coached a number of sports during her time at Thayer at both the Middle and Upper School levels, including soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, and has also been a freshman advisor and has served on the Disciplinary Committee. Jess currently lives in Milton with her husband and two young boys, Thomas and James. As an alum, and now a staff member in the Thayer community, Jess is passionate about Thayer. She takes great pleasure in meeting future Thayer students and likes to share her experiences with them.
  • Alison Soule
Alison Soule comes from a family of educators and was born and raised on the coast of Maine. She attended the School of Education at Boston University and later earned her MA in Education from Northeastern.  She started her teaching career at the Vail Mountain School in Colorado, where she lived after college, but has been back in New England since 2007.  For the past 9 years at Thayer Academy, she has taught Middle School English and 6th grade, and was also an 8th grade advisor. For 2018-19, Soule is beyond excited to teach the new 5th grade class.  She will serve as the homebase advisor and will teach English, social studies, and math.  Her student teaching was with 5th grade students, and she is looking forward to working with that age group again!  In addition to teaching, Soule is also an athletic coach (field hockey, ski club, and lacrosse).  She also runs Tiger Games, and has led the 8th grade video activity and a creative writing activity.  Soule is an avid skier, and also enjoys cycling, sailing, and the outdoors in general.
