About the Program:
Thayer Golf is one of 14 teams that compete in the Independent School League (ISL). Our comprehensive schedule takes place within April and May each spring, and our home courses are Wollaston Golf Club and Braintree Municipal Golf Course. Alumni have gone on to play golf at the collegiate level at schools like Saint Anselm College, Trinity College, Temple University, and Suffolk University to name a few. Head Coach Bo Cramer took over the program in the spring of 2023. For any further information, please email Coach Cramer at rcramer@thayer.org. Go Tigers!

Robert Cramer
CoachBo Cramer teaches English, serves as the Varsity Golf coach, and supervises the student-run Voice Magazine. He holds a B.A. in English from Bates College and an M.A. from Middlebury College. He began his teaching career at New Hampton School, a boarding school in New Hampshire, where he taught in the International Baccalaureate Program. While teaching at New Hampton, he was honored with the Belfry Year Book Dedication and the O’Connor Excellence in Teaching Prize. He also served as dorm head to an upperclassman residence hall, an assistant basketball coach for seven years, and the Varsity Golf coach. In his time coaching, the New Hampton golf team went from losing records to a Lakes Region Championship and two second-place finishes in the final tournament. Their 2019 runner-up finish was the only loss in an undefeated regular season. He also serves as the faculty advisor to the Thayer Surf Club as an avid surfer himself.
