Coach Ian Wheeler assumed the role of Head Coach of the Boys' Varsity Soccer team in 2022. A graduate of the Noble and Greenough School, Class of 2008, Ian won an ISL Championship along with two trips to the New England 'Class A' Tournament. Wheeler was a Regional 1 ODP selection and played Club Soccer for the F.C. Greater Boston Bolts, having been a part of the only Boys Club team from Massachusetts to win a U.S. Soccer National Championship, captured in 2005 under Francis Okaroh. Upon graduation from Nobles, Ian played soccer for Franklin & Marshall College under Dan Wagner. He majored in racial studies while at F&M and later transferred to the University of Southern California where he entered USC’s Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism. Ian has worked in the software industry for the last 11 years, while coaching various club teams in the Greater Region 1 area. Recently, Ian spent time working with the Philadelphia Union Youth Academy at their headquarters in Wayne, PA and now lives in Weymouth with his wife, three children, and 175 pound rottweiler, Bhalu.
