Rock Climbing - US CoEd
The Thayer Academy Rock Climbing Program is held at Central Rock Gym in Randolph. The program consists of novice to experienced climbers, focusing on the development of each individual athlete and their contribution to the overall team's success. The team focuses on building climbing specific strength and skill while emphasizing community and the versatility of our sport. This team is designed to be an environment for continuous progression to support athletes in pursuing the aspects of climbing that matter most to them, be it competition, climbing outdoors, or simply trying to be the best climbers they can be.
Climbers on this team will continue development of their technical skills, climbing strength and endurance while also learning and executing more structured training for climbing including lead climbing and lead belaying. Climbers will focus intentionally on strategy, goal-setting, and mental preparation.
