Program Details

Discover a summer of skill-building and fun at Thayer Summer Sports Camps!

We offer top-notch coaching in:

  • Baseball
  • Lacrosse
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Field Hockey

Sports Camps will run Monday through Thursday throughout the summer. For select programs, students will be provided lunch and snacks.

Each camp requires specific equipment, and our dedicated coaches will provide a detailed list to ensure every student is ready to hit the field. Check out the Sports Camps below for more details.

Health Requirements

Medical information must be provided for your child to attend Thayer Summer Sports Camps. It is essential for the program to have your student's current health information in order to be able to ensure the safety and well-being of students during their time at the Summer Sports Camps. Please upload your student's complete physical and immunization record from your doctor's office by going to your home page after completing your registration and using the upload button under the "Doctor's Physical" section. If you cannot upload the document, please email it to campnurse@thayer.org. Students cannot participate in the Summer Sports Camps until we receive this form. The physical exam date must be within 18 months prior to when your child is expected to attend the Thayer Summer Sports Camps.

Medical forms must be completed and submitted by June 1, 2024.

  • Medical Report of Physical Exam & Immunizations (required)
    Note: Parents/guardians may provide a form from their family physician as an alternative to completing the form linked here. 
  • Participant Medication Authorization (as needed)
    For students who will require medications at the Summer Sports Camps, the Medication Authorization Form must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian for each medication. The parent/guardian should deliver the medication(s) directly to the Thayer Sports Camps nurse on or before the first day of the program. Medications must be in the original prescription container with the prescription label affixed, noting the exact dose of the medication to be dispensed.

Thayer's field hockey camp offers a unique blend of fundamental and tactical skill-building. The camp is taught by coaches and players with Division I & III level experience. The program prioritizes joy, team building, and character development, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a holistic approach to field hockey training.

Open to: Students entering grades 3 to 9
Skill Level: Beginner and advanced levels

Boys & Girls Basketball
Led by Head Coach Mike Babul, TA Boys Head Basketball Coach

Thayer's basketball camps focus on basketball fundamentals, skill development, and creating a fun, competitive environment. Coach Babul's extensive coaching background, including work with professional players, ensures a high-quality basketball camp where participants can develop their skills and love for the game.

Time: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Boys Baseball
Led by Head Coach Jimmy Pierce ‘03, TA Boys Head Baseball Coach

Thayer's baseball camp is open to players of all skill levels. Players will be grouped by grade and/or skill level to ensure player safety. The camp will be run by Thayer Baseball Head Coach Jimmy Pierce ‘03, who is entering his second year as the Head Coach and 12th year as a Varsity coach. Players will receive instruction from former college and professional players on defensive fundamentals, hitting, and team defense.

Dates: Monday - Thursday, August 12 to August 15
Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Thayer Sports Center
Cost: $495/week
Open to: Students entering grades 4 to 8
Skill Level: All experience levels

With a staff comprising top-tier high school coaches and college players, the camp focuses on skill development and game experience. Students are evaluated and grouped by skill level for daily small training groups, ensuring a personalized and transformative experience.

Collegiate coaches from Bentley and Villanova enhance the program, providing valuable insights and guidance. Open to a wide range of age groups, this soccer camp focuses on developing well-rounded players both on and off the field.
