The Thayer Academy Sports Hall of Fame will induct its Class of 2022 Friday, Oct. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Cahall Campus Center. 

The Class of 2022 comprises four individuals and three varsity teams; this year’s inductees are: 

• Greg Apostol ‘81 — Soccer; Ice Hockey (Captain)
• Jed Sheehan ‘96 — Soccer (Captain); Ice Hockey; Lacrosse
• Lauren Medici ‘00 — Field Hockey (Captain); Gymnastics (Captain); Track (Captain) 
• Mike Jones ‘03 — Basketball (Captain); Track & Field
• The 1969 Varsity Football Team 
• The 1970-71 Varsity Wrestling Team 
• The 1971-72 Varsity Wrestling Team

Established in 1991, the Thayer Academy Sports Hall of Fame is dedicated to the Thayer student-athletes and coaches who have given their best, both on the playing field and in the classroom, and have represented their school with determination, perseverance, cooperation, sportsmanship, and courage. Each year, Thayer celebrates its athletic tradition of excellence by honoring a small group of student-athletes and teams with induction, recognizing those who have worn the black and orange with pride and distinction.
