Teddy Lally ’25 earns MVP honors in Senior All-America Game

After missing much of his senior season due to injury, Thayer’s Teddy Lally ’25 made a triumphant return to the lacrosse field at the 2025 New Balance All-America Senior Game — and made the most of the moment.

Competing alongside some of the top high school lacrosse players in the country, Lally netted a hat trick and was named MVP for his efforts. The recent Thayer graduate, who will continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame, helped lead the National Team to a 20–14 victory over the weekend at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.

Lally served as a lacrosse team captain at Thayer and proved an impact player in both lacrosse and hockey. His leadership, work ethic, and competitive drive set the tone for both programs and earned him the respect of teammates and coaches alike. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Thayer Academy Outstanding Male Athlete Award at Commencement this past June.

“I’m so happy Teddy got the opportunity to finish his high school career on a high note,” said Bill Daye P ’27, head coach of Thayer’s boys varsity lacrosse team and director of its boys lacrosse program. “He’s a fantastic leader who has left his mark on the Thayer lacrosse program and our culture. I’m excited to see what he does at the next level; there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be successful.”

Founded in 1877, Thayer Academy is a proud member of both the ISL and NEPSAC.
