Please join us for a webinar offering an in-depth look at the philosophy behind athletics at Thayer Academy. You'll hear from current student-athletes, alumni who are playing sports collegiately, and many of our varsity coaches. The program will focus primarily on athletics in the Upper School (grades 9-12), but students applying to any grade are welcome to attend. Go, Tigers!

Join us to hear from a panel of Admissions Directors from 19 Boston-area independent schools talk about mission-driven education, high academic standards, individualized student experiences, educating the whole child, and other topics relevant to the applicant’s journey towards enrollment. The program will begin with a panel, followed by Zoom meeting rooms to allow families to connect with individual schools and learn more about their specific programs and admission processes.

Join Thayer Academy Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Matt Ghiden as he moderates a student panel discussing DEIB initiatives in both the Middle and Upper Schools. Topics include: community and culture; curriculum; and student exploration of identity within the classroom and affinity spaces. 

Prospective families will have a chance to mingle with admissions staff, faculty, current students, and current parents/guardians before the student panel begins.

Please join us for our Winter Open House for prospective families of students applying to grades 5-11. Head of School Chris Fortunato will share distinguishing aspects of Thayer's mission, values, and programs. Resident scholar Dr. Timothy McCarthy will lead an interactive experience highlighting effective communication, storytelling, and leadership skills taught at the Academy. Prospective students will also work with faculty in experiential classrooms featuring our signature academic programs.
