Getting Started
Welcome to the Thayer Academy application process! We are excited you're taking the first step toward applying.
To begin the application process, create an account on Ravenna, our online application management system. Registration allows you to schedule a campus visit, request admissions materials, complete our online admissions application, track your application status, stay informed about upcoming events, and receive updates from the Thayer Admissions Office.
Follow the steps below and consult this handy Application Checklist to see what supporting materials (teacher recommendations, transcripts, and testing) need to be submitted in addition to your online application.

Admissions Testing
Grade 5 applicants will take an admission assessment administered by Thayer Academy. Testing dates are to be determined.
Grades 6 through 8 will need to take the ISEE or SSAT and grades 9 through 11 will need to take the SSAT.
Test Dates:
- The ISEE will be held at Thayer on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 and Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025.
- The SSAT will be held at Thayer on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 and Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025.
