Africa South of the Sahara A collection of web resources on the countries and regions of Africa and a variety of topics pertinent to them, including current events, human rights, foods, and music. Maintained by the curator of the African collection at Stanford University Libraries. Africa Web Links: an Annotated Resource List This directory is maintained by the African Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania. It provides links to sites with information on a wide variety of topics related to Africa, including arts and architecture, law, relief work and women's issues. African American History and Studies - Directory of Online Resources A directory of resources concerning a variety of topics in African-American history. African-Americans in World War II A brief pictorial presentation of African-Americans serving in WWII. African-American Mosaic A Library of Congress Resource Guide for the study of Black History & Culture. The guide focuses on four area of the Library's collection: Colonization, Abolition, Migrations, and the WPA. African National Congress Home Page Official web site for the ANC, which works for political equality for Blacks in South Africa. Ambush in Mogadishu 1993 Links to a report on the ambush; presented by PBS. Contains interviews, photographs and historical context of the incident. American Experience: Citizen King This site is a companion to the PBS program which examined Martin Luther King's role as a reformer. Egyptian State Information Service The web site for the Egypt State Information Service is the nation's main informational, awareness and public relations agency. From Slavery to Civil Rights: A Timeline of African-American History A directory of images from the Library of Congress. This site is part of the Library of Congress' American Memory Project, which has digitized a significant portion of the Library's collection. Internet African History Sourcebook Maintained by Fordham University, this site contains links to historical documents, articles and web sites concerning the history of human societies in the continent of Africa. Rwanda Genocide 1994 Web site for the PBS/Frontline program on Rwanda genocide, "Ghosts of Rwanda." Includes interviews, analysis, a timeline and a section on Rwanda today.
