Over twenty-five years ago, I attended an independent school much like Thayer Academy. My life has been largely shaped by those early experiences: many of my classmates are close friends and professional associates; former teachers are role models; and I have a life-long interest in arts and athletics which began there. In all, I realize that I am still swimming in the same stream that I dove into as a 13-year-old kid. Similar life-shaping experiences occur everyday for our students as they attend their classes, sports practices, and extracurricular activities.
