- The Teaching Fellows Program, one step in Thayer's plan to advance diversity in faculty and staff
- Partnerships with educational access programs such as the Steppingstone Foundation and Project RISE, hosted on Thayer's campus since its inception
- The Academy's Board of Trustees, chaired by a woman, includes 29 members, among them, 6 women, and 3 African Americans
- Thayer's Learning through Travel programs, designed to give students opportunities to experience other cultures and languages
