- Partnerships with educational access programs such as the Steppingstone Foundation and Project RISE, hosted on Thayer's campus since its inception
- The Academy's Board of Trustees, chaired by a woman, includes 29 members, among them, 6 women, and 3 African Americans
- Thayer's Learning through Travel programs, designed to give students opportunities to experience other cultures and languages
In 2011, Thayer students joined more than 40,000 participants in the 20-mile Walk for Hunger, which begins and ends on the Boston Common.

Let us ...
♦ Challenge all of our assumptions.
♦ Celebrate our multi-cultural heritage.
♦ Move to the beat of different drummers.
♦ Listen to our classmates' life stories.
♦ See the world through the eyes of others.
♦ Walk a mile in someone else's shoes.
|Diversity is essential to our mission.|
Inclusion is key to our objectives.
