To get to know our new faculty and staff a little better, we asked them to answer a few questions from the Proust Questionnaire--the famous questionnaire that Vanity Fair asks celebrities to answer on its back page. Today we introduce Danny Seymour, head of the Middle School History Department. Danny earned his Bachelor's at Middlebury College and his Master's at the Teachers College at Columbia University.
When and where were you happiest?
Whenever I am eating really, really good pizza. I am ALWAYS pumped when this occurs.
Which talent would you most like to have?
This one is easy. To sing. It would be so cool to be able to impress people at karaoke, or just in the car, if I could do this. I still sing, and sing often, but certainly not well. You have been forewarned.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Talk less. I tend to talk a lot. Apologies in advance for all who meet me.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being a middle school teacher. We deserve props.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
A spoiled, happy, fat, well fed dog. Their lives seem pretty sweet.
