Thayer 8th graders recently traveled to the United States Military Academy at West Point and learned more about Sylvanus Thayer, known as "the father of West Point." Students and chaperones toured the campus, including several chapels, visited Sylvanus Thayer's gravesite, the parade grounds, Thayer's statue, and the athletic facilities and football field. Cadets, including alum Brad Rotundi '15, spoke with the students about life as a student/cadet at West Point.
