Re: Florida Trip

Dear Parents,

The Thayer Softball Program is in the process of finalizing a preseason trip to Orlando, Florida. The dates will be March 18th thru March 22nd. The team is going to be playing at upscale fields that are included in the KSA Spring Training Program.

All the players will be required to follow the play, stay, and meal package offered by the program. Lodging will be at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Meals will be served at the resort or covered by a meal coupon when eating at the park- Universal Studios. Our trip is set up to involve practices, games, team bonding, and three passes to Disney Universal Studios!

Please let me know directly if you are in any need of financial aid, also any donations will be welcomed and donors will receive school gift credit. The trip is completely optional and is designed to include all players participating in the Upper School Program. It does not in any way determine the final Thayer Varsity Softball Team. Parents are welcome!

Attached is additional information on the trip, a required commitment form as well as online instructions for Athlete Registration. The Commitment Form and Athlete Registration is due by November 10th, 2017. Any additional questions or concerns please reach out at your convenience.

    Assistant Coach
Allison comes to us from sunny Boca Raton, FL where she attended her undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University and would frequently squeeze in some light scuba diving between classes. After she completed her Masters in Chemistry at the University of Florida, she traded in her scuba octos for the enchanting gates of Thayer Academy. She is going into her 5th year at Thayer and has taught all grades, from Integrated Science (Honors and Regular) to Quantitative Chemistry, and the senior level Advanced Topics in Physics. She enjoys coaching girls' softball, and advises Thayer's GSA - Club Spectrum.
