Thayer Academy gymnasts did a fabulous job in their meet against Weymouth High School! Thayer finished with a 113.2 just behind Weymouth's 118.1.  Micayla Evans competed all-around for Thayer and came in second (30.7), after Weymouth gymnast Any Antonowicz (31.2).  Although the scoring was tougher than normal most of the girls improved their performance from the previous meet.  Standouts for Thayer on bars were Micayla Evans (7.9), Sara Silk (7.2) and Alex Sanford.  Standouts on floor for Thayer were Micayla Evans (8.1), Sarah Balinger (7.4) and Molly Caffrey (7.0).  Placing third overall on balance beam (7.0) and second overall on the vault (8.1) was Sara Silk.  Victoria Hasenfuss and Sarah Middleton did a wonderful job competing on floor exercise and balance beam. Also competing and doing an excellent job for Thayer Academy were Sarah Bookstein (bars and vault), Ayla Rosen (bars and floor), Sammie Miller (bars), Allie Bookstein (vault) and Paige Desisto (beam). Congratulations girls!  Our next meet will be Jan 24th at Mass Gymnastics Academy against Notre Dame (located behind the Derby Street Mall in Hingham); hope to see you there!
